Want tickets to Des Moines Social Club’s NYE party? Too bad

Tickets are sold out for the Des Moines Social Club’s New Year’s Eve party tonight, “The Bash,” the arts nonprofit’s first event at its new space.

The event will feature live sets from local bands like Canby, Annalibera and Max Jury as well as DJ, break dancing and opera performances. Minneapolis indie hip hop collective DoomTree will headline the event alongside a human ball drop featuring acrobats.

As of Saturday, ticket-less folks could sign up to volunteer at the event and gain admission, but Social Club Program Manager Mickey Davis said this morning that all those slots are filled.

“We are totally full, to the brim,” said Davis, who has estimated the event’s space could fit about 600 people.

As of midday, more than a few Central Iowans were posting to the organization’s page and elsewhere on Facebook looking to buy tickets second-hand.

Those who do have tickets can look here for more information. Here’s the night’s entertainment lineup:

8:30 – Max Jury
9:00 – Opera 8
9:15 – MaryBeth Doran
9:45 – Canby
10:20 – Felecia Coe and Laura Ernst
10:35 – Annalibera
11:15 – DMI Breakaz
11:30 – Doomtree
