Published on September 18th, 2013 | by Joe Lawler

Ukulele virtuoso (you don’t get to type that often) Jake Shimabukuro will perform Nov. 14 at Hoyt Sherman Place.  Shimabukuro is known for his his four-string take on songs like “While My Guitar Gently Weeps,” “Bohemian Rhapsody” and “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.”

His latest album, “Grand Ukulele,” was produced by Alan Parsons (producer on “Abbey Road” and “The Dark Side of the Moon) with orchestration by Kip Winger of Winger. Because why not?

Tickets are $33-$55 and go on sale Friday through Ticketmaster. Here’s his Youtube video for “While My Guitar Gently Weeps,” which has an amazing 12 million views.
