Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue coming to Wooly’s

Published on April 9th, 2014 | by Joe Lawler

The New Orleans jazz/funk/hip hop act Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue will perform at Wooly’s on Aug. 5. The group is fronted by trombone and trumpet player Troy Andrews.

Andrews has performed with Cee Lo Green, Mos Def, Green Day and U2. He’s also been on “Treme,” which is one of the first things I always check for when it comes to New Orleans musicians. His grandpa, Jessie Hill, was also pretty famous.

Tickets are $25 in advance and go on sale Thursday through ticketfly.com.
