“And let my liver rather heat with wine than my heart cool with mortifying groans,” says the young Gratiano in “Merchant of Venice.”
Heat your liver with a wine or two at the Salisbury House Young Professionals’ YP Night this Friday, all ahead of the Repertory Theater of Iowa’s performance of “Merchant” as part of Shakespeare on the Lawn.
Join the most sophisticated YP group in town at the Salisbury House’s Historic Garage at 5:30, where guests can enjoy a cash bar and mingle with the show’s actors before the Repertory Theater’s Friday night performance.
Attendees to the Salisbury House YPs event can also enjoy designated seating at the performance.
Registration for the happy hour — $22.50 for SHYP members and $25 for the general public — includes a ticket to the show, the VIP seating and a special “behind-the-scenes” look at the performance. Learn more at the event’s Facebook page.
