You loved Tacopocalypse when it was at the Downtown Farmers Market and now one of your favorite mobile food vendors will be coming to the East Village in late August. It is the first official store for Tacopocalypse and will be located at 621 Des Moines Street, where Luna restaurant used to be located.

Tacopocalypse served food at The Point in Clive and can be found other places in central Iowa, including the Cumming Tap. Auen said he will no longer be serving at The Point.

“I’m very excited to finally be downtown and to be a part of the East Village neighborhood. I have watched this area grow and flourish for the last 10 years,” said chef and owner Sam Auen in a press release.

Changes patrons will see at the restaurant will include more vegetarian and vegan options, new appetizers, and a selection of local beers. The restaurant will serve lunch and dinner Monday through Friday and Brunchpocalypse every Saturday and Sunday.
