Sound the Slaughter 2013 bands announced

Last summer the first Sound the Slaughter festival was held, featuring metal bands from around the Midwest. It returns to the lot at 3000 Sixth Avenue (the same field where Rendezvous on Riverview is held) on Aug. 31.

Tickets to the festival are $15 in advance, $20 day of show. You can order them on the festival site.

Here are the band bands that have been announced as playing so far:

Reflections (Minneapolis), A Life Worth Fighting For (Des Moines), Absolute Power (Des Moines), Amass the Grave (Des Moines), Amendments (Des Moines), Apathy Syndrome (Des Moines), Benevolence (Wisconsin), Blessed are the Merciless (Omaha), Byleth (Omaha), Cloudsplitter (Omaha), Conveyer (Eau Claire), Hallowed Hysteria (Des Moines), Hours of Decay (Des Moines), Ignore the Script (Des Moines), Reaping Asmodeia (Minneapolis), The Curse of Hail (Des Moines), The Opportunist (Waterloo, Des Moines), They Will Repent (Des Moines), Violent Fade (Omaha, Des Moines).

More bands will be announced later. Sound the Slaughter will feature two stages with 10 hours of music.
