Updated: The Social Club has extended its deadline for Pedal Art Des Moines to March 14.

The Viaduct Gallery, the Des Moines Social Club’s hosting place for regional Iowa art, will launch on March 14 at the arts nonprofit’s new firehouse headquarters in downtown. The gallery is also accepting poster art submissions until Friday for this year’s Pedal Art Des Moines show slated for May, according to a release.

Now in its fifth year, Pedal Art Des Moines brings together affordable, cycling-inspired poster art for an all-local showcase. Each artist, more than 30 in all, will produce 30 prints for sale at $30 a piece. See the club’s site for more information.

The Des Moines Social Club’s new home at a former firehouse at Ninth and Mulberry Streets is still under construction. A limited selection of programming is occurring now, the organization said, with a grand opening planned for May.
