Slipknot drummer finds outlet in new band ‘Scar the Martyr’

Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison is constantly writing new material. Some of that material goes toward Slipknot, but some didn’t have a set outlet. At least it didn’t until recently, when Jordison formed his new band, Scar the Martyr.

Last year Jordison was recording demos at Sound Farm in Jamaica, Ia., when he started noticing the songs he was working on falling in a certain direction. Before long he thought he might be working on something that could be a full-time project.
