UPDATE: Shoot the Chutes announces more bands

Update: Over the weekend Guantlet Hair announced that it was breaking up on its Facebook page. Festival co-organizer Andy Cusack said Shoot the Chutes is working to find a replacement for the band, but if Gauntlet Hair was was prompted you to buy tickets, you can request a refund for the show through an email organizers will have already sent you.

“But should you decide to request a refund as a result of Gauntlet Hair’s departure from our lineup, we are happy to oblige.”

Organizers announced new acts for the first Shoot the Chutes festival, which will be Aug. 24 with 13 bands playing inside the Vaudeville Mews and outside at the PBR Bar.

New acts include: Gauntlet Hair, The Melismatics, Sleepy Kitty, Har-Di-Har, and M34N STR33T.

The festival will be headlined by the Missouri band Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin.

Previously announced for the festival are: Prissy Clerks, Torches, Annalibera, Quickpiss, Twins, Maids and Marybeth Doran.

Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 day of show for all day, or $8 in advance, $12 day of for all ages. Tickets are available through Tikly.

The festival gets its name from the water ride at the historic Riverview Amusement Park, which closed in the late ’70s.
