Saturday Mfg is celebrating five years with Flapjack Day

Published on March 11th, 2014 | by Joe Lawler

A parade, beer buffet, a mini-sap run, the recitation of “the legend of the Flapjackalope,” the Facebook invite to Saturday Mfg’s fifth anniversary party sounds like it’s full of pancake activities.

In actuality, the event will focus mostly on the eating of flapjacks, but Brian Sauer, owner of the marketing and design company isn’t ruling out doing those things someday.

“If we can do it, we definitely will do it,” Sauer said. “We always have big ambitions.”

You can expect a visit from Chris Cakes, a company that was started in Iowa (now based in Missouri) which serves up pancakes with lots of flipping and tossing.

Flapjack Day will be March 28, starting at 5 p.m. and running “until we kick everybody out.” Admission is free. It all takes place at Saturday Mfg, 1717 Ingersoll Ave.
