Somebody taught the West Des Moines Police Department how to use Microsoft Paint. Now its telling you to be safe on St. Patrick’s Day.

The department’s Facebook page posted a marvel of computer graphics wizardry this afternoon: A terrified stick figure, perched in a clover-green jail cell, with a warning scrawled in red. The stick figure is supposed to be you.

The caption:

While the department’s Facebook’s page is typically used to identify images of suspects and issue public safety notices, whoever runs it has a little fun. A February 5 post of a car stalled over a snowy median came with a note: “Hey you can’t park there ……. Roads are still slick.”

For real, though: Be safe out there y’all. Call a cab if needed. And use Juice’s St. Patrick’s Day guide to find what’s good tonight in Des Moines.
