Music University schedule announced, registration open

The Des Moines Music Coalition’s Music University event will be held Oct. 19 at Drake University. The DMMC has announced the schedule of events, as well as some surrounding events for the day of conferences and workshops.
On Oct. 18 there will be a pre-Music University networking event and screening of the Nels Cline documentary “Approximately Nels Cline” at 6 p.m. at a TBA location. It’s free if you’re registered for MU, $5 without.
After MU on Oct. 19 from 6-9 p.m. there will be a conference showcase with Dick Prall and other TBA acts at The Gas Lamp. Admission is free.
Registration is $25 in advance, $30 at the door or $15 in advance if you’re a student or musician.
