Go Team Venture! The Venture Bros inspired art show at The Fremont

If you don’t watch “The Venture Bros.” on Adult Swim, you’re missing out. It’s an odd combo of Johnny Quest, Scooby Doo, G.I. Joe and a smattering of other 70s/80s cartoons, mixed with the callback humor of shows like “Arrested Development” and “Community.”

I don’t know if you could just jump in and start watching a random episode. But it really rewards faithful viewers.

Some of those faithful viewers will likely turn out for Go Team Venture! A Venture Bros inspired art show 7 p.m.-midnight Feb. 21 at The Fremont, 1030 E. Ninth St.

The show will feature work by D. Ryan Allen, Van Homgren, Sean Eike, Jason Wright and many others. It will be more exciting than a weekend on Spanakopita!
