Foreigner, Styx and The Happy Together tour added to Iowa State Fair Grandstand

The Iowa State Fair Grandstand line-up is starting the solidify. The fair posted an Foreigner and Styx date today for Aug. 17, the final day of the fair. The two bands announced a “Soundtrack of Summer” tour earlier this week featuring Eagles guitarist Dan Felder, but Felder isn’t listed as part of the show on the fair’s website.
Foreigner is known for hits like “I Want to Know What Love Is,” “Hot Blooded,” “Feels Like the First Time” and many more. Foreigner headlined at the Grandstand in 2008.
Styx is best known for the songs “Come Sail Away,” “Lady,” “Too Much Time on My Hands” and the always awesome “Mr. Roboto.”
Tickets to that show are $39, and go on sale on a TBA date.
While not officially announced by the Iowa State Fair, Pollstar has an Aug. 8 date listed for The Happy Together Tour at the Grandstand. The tour also stopped at the fair in 2012 and 2013. This year’s lineup has The Turtles featuring Flo & Eddie, Chuck Negron (of Three Dog Night), Mark Farner (of Grand Funk Railroad), Mitch Ryder & The Detroit Wheels and Gary Lewis & The Playboys.
No word on ticket prices for that show.
