Find a furry friend at the 2013 ASPCA Mega Match-a-thon

Seven local animal rescue organizations will be participating in the 2013 ASCPA Mega Match-a-thon in order to find homes for more animals.

The Animal Rescue League of Iowa, Inc., Animal Lifeline, Inc., Clarke County Animal Shelter, Humane Society of Perry, Jasper County Animal Rescue League & Humane Society, 2nd Chance Dog Rescue and Stephen Memorial Animal Shelter are one of the 38 animal rescue organization groups across the nation that received funding to participate in the 2013 ASPCA Mega Match-a-thon.

“The ASPCA Mega Match-a-thon is a great motivator for our staff and for the members of our community to help the many wonderful cats and dogs in our shelter find loving homes,” said ARL executive director Tom Colvin in a press release.

The event will take place at the Iowa State Fairgrounds (inside the 4H Building) during the Great Iowa Pet Expo from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (or until all the animals are adopted) on Sunday. The shelters will have special reduced adoption fees.
