Euforquestra, The River Monks and Twins announce album release info
A lot of Iowa (and formerly Iowan) bands are announcing CD release show info, and it seemed to make sense to include it all in one place.
The River Monks are having a whole CD release show tour for its album “Home is the House,” which includes multiple shows in Des Moines. On March 13 the band plays both Lunch Unplugged at the Temple for Performing Arts and The Gas Lamp. On March 14 they play DG’s Tap House in Ames, then on March 29 they return to play Raccoon River Brewing Company. The band will also play a “Official Vinyl and Online-Everywhere Release Show” May 16 at Vaudeville Mews.
The Cedar Falls band Twins releases its album “Tomboys on Parade” April 1 through Maximum Ames Records. A release show hasn’t been announced yet, but expect one around that date. If you pre-order now you get instant access to streaming the album. Twins will also be featured on the March 8 broadcast of Iowa Public Radio’s Java Blend.
Euforquestra will release “Fire,” its first studio album in five years on March 25. The band is now based out of Colorado, but they’ll be on a tour in support of the album and will play a Des Moines release show on April 11 at Wooly’s. If you want to see the band in its hometown, the group plays Gabe’s in Iowa City on April 12.
And while there is no official release date yet, the formerly Story City-based Radio Moscow will release its latest album, “Magical Dirt,” sometime this spring.
