Corn on the cob is Iowans’ pick for state food
Corn on the cob, rather than corn dogs, is the food Iowans would most like to be the state food, according to a new Iowa Poll.

Forty-four percent of Iowans polled picked corn on the cob as the state food. The pork chop was a distant second with 16 percent. Another 11 percent favored the pork tenderloin sandwich, a staple of cafes and restaurants throughout the Hawkeye State.
