Cher coming ‘Dressed to Kill’ to Wells Fargo Arena

Published on September 23rd, 2013 | by Joe Lawler

It was more than 10 years ago that Cher brought her “Farewell Tour” to Des Moines for a show at Veterans Memorial Auditorium. Despite that fact, Cher’s music career has outlasted Vets (which is now the Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center). Cher’s “Dressed to Kill” tour is coming to Wells Fargo Arena on June 9, 2014, according to her website.

Cher’s solo hits over the years include “If I Could Turn Back Time,” “Believe,” “Gypsies, Tramps & Thieves” and “Half Breed.” She’s won an Oscar, Grammy, Emmy and multiple Golden Globes. Prior to her solo career she had a successful musical partnership (and less successful marriage) with Sonny Bono.

Tomorrow Cher’s 26th studio album, “Closer to the Truth,” is released.  Just this morning she performed on the “Today Show.” She’ll be 68-years old when she takes the stage next summer.

Ticket info is still TBA. Here’s the list of songs she performed at her 2003 Des Moines show.
