‘Breaking Bad’ Spotify playlist

There are no real spoilers in this post (unless you watch the video), but if you’re really worried about not finding out what happened in last night’s “Breaking Bad” finale, tread lightly.

In last night’s episodes there were two songs featured pretty prominently, “El Paso” by Marty Robbins and “Baby Blue” by Badfinger. After the episode ended my thought was “I wonder how many more plays those two songs will get on Spotify.”

Then I started thinking about how music factors into some of my favorite moments in the show. “DLZ” playing while Walt flips to Heisenberg and tells some potential cooks to “stay out of my territory.” The unfortunate discovery of Gale’s karaoke video of Peter Schilling’s “Major Tom,” the odd bit of exposition delivered by the mariachi band “Los Cuates de Sinaloa.

So here are some of the songs featured last night, as well as some of my favorite music used during the show. I just wish the extended “Breaking Bad” theme that ended last week’s episode was on Spotify. Maybe I can update at a later date.
