80/35 Music Festival: The basics

Published on July 2nd, 2013 | by Joe Lawler

Basics of the festival

What do I pay for and what’s free?

The Main Stage is the only area you need a ticket for. The Hy-Vee Stage and Kum & Go Stage are both free.

Can I bring in these stabby objects, my own booze and illegal drugs?

No, you can not. You can bring in an empty water bottle, a sealed water bottle, blankets, a small snack, personal cameras, small backbacks and purses. Lawn chairs and umbrellas are allowed toward the back half of the main stage grounds.

No coolers, large-frame backpacks, audio recording devices or professional photography equipment or SLR cameras. Also, don’t bring weapons, your own alcohol or illegal drugs.

Can I smoke?

You can’t smoke in the paid area. You can outside of it.

I have a two-day pass. Should I cut off my wristband at the end of the first night?

No you should not. You’ve got to leave that on overnight. A new wristband won’t be issued if you do that.
